Boston Creme Donuts
Ingredients:
- refrigerated grands biscuits - 1 package
- canola oil -
- instant french vanilla pudding - 1 box (3.4 ounce)
- milk - 1 c
- heavy cream - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- heavy cream - 2 T
- milk - 2 T
- butter - 2 T
- vanilla extract - 1 1/2 t
- corn syrup - 1 T
- dark chocolate - 2 ounces
- milk chocolate - 2 ounces
- powdered sugar - 2 1/4 c
Instructions:
In a bowl whisk together pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes; set aside.
In another bowl, with mixer on high beat the cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in pudding mixture. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Heat oil; separate biscuits, fry each biscuit 2-3 minutes per side. Cool and dry on paper towels.
In a saucepan combine cream, milk, butter, vanilla and corn syrup; heat on medium until butter is melted. Turn to low and add chocolates; whisk continuously until smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar until ganache is smooth. Set aside.
Spoon filling into a large pastry bag with tip, press tip into the side of donut and squeeze until donut appears full. Repeat for remaining donuts. Spoon warm ganache over each donut.
