Cinnamon Roll Dippers
Ingredients:
- flour - 1 1/2 c
- sugar, divided - 4 T
- salt - 1/2 t
- butter, softened plus 1 T, divided - 1/2 c
- ice cold water - 3 - 6 T
- cinnamon - 1 t
- cream cheese, softened - 2 ounces
- powdered sugar - 1 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/4 t
- milk - as needed
- brown sugar - 3 T
- butter - 3 T
- cinnamon - 1/2 t
Instructions:
In a bowl whisk together flour, 3 T sugar, and salt. With a pastry cutter, cut in ½ c butter, add 3 T water, mix to combine. Add more water 1 T at a time until mixture comes together. Flatten dough into a round disk, wrap in plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 15 minutes or overnight. Unwrap dough, using a pizza cutter, cut into 1 1/2 inch strips. Place on a greased baking pan. Spread butter over tops of the strips. In a bowl combine cinnamon and 1 T sugar and sprinkle over strips. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 12 - 14 minutes, until lightly browned.
Prepare glaze dip --In a bowl combine, cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla, mix well. Add milk 1 t at a time until smooth. In a saucepan combine brown sugar, butter and cinnamon, whisk until butter melts and mixture is smooth. Swirl cinnamon mixture over glaze dip. Serve dippers warm or at room temperature.
