Kahlua Donuts
Ingredients:
- flour - 2 cups
- sugar - 1 cup
- baking powder - 2 t
- salt - 1/2 t
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2
- Kahlua coffee liqueur - 1/2 cup
- milk - 1/2 cup
- oil - 2 T
- powdered sugar - 1 1/2 cups
- cocoa powder - 4 T
- milk - 3 T
- Kahlua - 1 T
Instructions:
In a bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a second bowl, whisk together eggs, 1/2 cup Kahlua, 1/2 cup milk and oil. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture until combined.
Coat donut pans with cooking spray. Fill a pastry bag with batter, fill donut pans 3/4 of the way full with batter. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until browned. Remove donuts from pan, place on a cooling rack, cool completely.
In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and cocoa powder, whisk in 3 T milk and 1 T Kahlua until smooth.
Dip top of donuts into the glaze, allow excess to drip off. Place on cooling rack to allow glaze to set.
