Orange Shrimp
Ingredients:
- medium shrimp, peeled and deveined - 1 pound
- freshly ground black pepper - 1/4 t
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- ketchup - 1/8 c
- orange juice - 1/4 c
- honey - 1/4 c
- rice wine vinegar - 1 T
- cloves garlic, minced - 3
- red pepper flakes - 1/2 t
- dried chives - 1/2 T
Instructions:
Season shrimp with black pepper and grill until completely cooked.
Prepare sauce -- in a bowl combine soy sauce, ketchup, orange juice, honey, vinegar, garlic, chives and pepper flakes.
Place shrimp in a pan over medium high heat, add the sauce and stir well. Reduce heat to low and cook until the sauce thickens, stir occasionally. (If sauce does not thicken combine 1 T cornstarch and 2 T water in a bowl, mix well, then pour it into the sauce, strring frequently.)
Serve over white rice. If desired sprinkle almonds and Korean wrinkled chili peppers over top.
