Bacon, Sausage Quiche
Ingredients:
- pie crust - 1 - 9 inch unbaked
- bacon, cooked - 8 slices
- butter - 2 T
- onion, slicied - 1 large
- sausage, cooked, crumbled - 1/2 cup
- eggs - 8
- heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- milk - 1 cup
- salt - 1 t
- pepper - 1 t
- mustard powder - 1 t
- sharp cheddar cheese - 2 cups
Instructions:
Press crust in a tart pan; set aside. In a pan melt butter, add onion, cook until dark golden brown, stir occasionally, remove from heat and cool. In a bowl whisk together eggs, cream and milk until fluffy, add salt, pepper and mustard. Stir in bacon, sausage, onion and cheese. Pour mixture into crust and place tart pan on a baking pan. Loosely cover with foil. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 40 minutes, remove foil and bake another 10 minutes.
