pizza crust (your favorite recipe)
Olive Oil
1 large red onion (cut in half and sliced thin)
1/4 c brown sugar
kosher salt to taste
Parmesan Cheese, grated to taste
10 ounces fresh Mozzarella Cheese (sliced thin)
8 slices Prosciutto
In a large skillet heat 2 T olive oil. Add onions and brown sugar, stir for several minutes, until onions are brown and cooked. Set aside.
Place pizza crust on baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle on salt and Parmesan to desired taste.
Place mozzarella over crust, add caramelized onions over the mozzarella. Randomly lay slices of prosciutto over the onions.
Bake at 500 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes in the lower half of the oven, until crust is golden brown.
Serve immediately.
