Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
- diced tomato, undraines - 14 1/2 ouncecan
- tomato paste - 6 ounces
- water - 1 cup
- sugar - 2 tsp
- basil leaves - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- oregano leaves - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- crushed red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- linguine - 8 ounces
- shrimp, peeled, deveined - 1 pound medium
Instructions:
In a saucepan, over medium high heat, bring to a boil, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, sugar, basil, garlic powder, oregano, salt and red pepper. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stir occasionally.
Cook pasta per package directions, add shrimp during last 3 minutes of cooking; drain. Return pasta/shrimp to pan. Add tomato mixture to pasta/shrimp; gently toss. Serve immediately; garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese.
