Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- pork chops, thick cut - 4
- brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- cayenne powder - 1/2 t
- garlic powder - 1/2 t
- paprika - 1/2 t
- salt - 1/2 t
- black pepper - 1/2 t
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine brown sugar and spices, rub the mixture over both sides of the chops. (Use all the spice mixture.)
In a oven proof skillet heat 2 T olive oil over medium high heat. When oil is hot (oil should look wavy) add the chops. Cook for 5 minutes on each side, until they are nicely browned.
Place skillet in a preheated 350 degree oven for 5 minutes to make sure they are cooked through. Remove the chops from the oven and drag each side of the chops around the thick glaze in the pan before serving.
