Grilled Tri-Tip
Ingredients:
- tri-tip steak - 3 - 4 pounds
- meat tenderizer - as needed
- ketchup - 1 cup
- French Dressing - 1/2 cup
- soy sauce - 1/2 cup
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 T
- garlic powder - 1 T
Instructions:
Place meat in a shallow pan. Appy meat tenderizer, per package directions.
In a bowl, stir together ketchup, French Dressing, soy sauce, Worcestershire and garlic powder; pour over meat. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight. Turn meat over during marinating time.
Place the steaks on a preheated grill and cook until golden brown and slightly charred, 4 - 5 minutes. Turn steaks over, continue to grill 3 - 5 minutes for medium-rare (an internal temperature of 135 degrees F), 5 - 7 minutes for medium (140 degrees F) or 8 - 10 minutes for medium-well (150 degrees F).
While cooking, turn steak over, brush steaks with the sauce every 10 minutes.
