2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. ground breakfast sausage (mild or regular)
1/2 sleeve saltines (finely crushed)
2 eggs
dash of Worcestershire
1 t mustard
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c ketchup
1/2 c chopped bell pepper
1/2 finely chopped onion
Mix all ingredients together. Place in baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour; remove from oven and pour grease off.
For topping, blend together 1 c ketchup and 1/4 c brown sugar.
Spread topping over meat.
Place pan back in the oven; bake for 15 minutes.
Cool 5-10 minutes before cutting.
