Salisbury Steak
Ingredients:
- ground beef - 2 pounds
- dry onion soup mix - 1 package
- cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- egg - 1
- salt and pepper - to desired taste
- onion (sliced) - 1
- mushroom stems (drained) - 1 small can
- brown gravy OR mushroom gravy - 2 jars
- sour cream - 1 c
Instructions:
Combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, egg and soup mix. Form into patties place in frying pan and brown on both sides. In a bowl combine the jars of gravy and sour cream. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan, lay the patties in the pan. Place mushrooms and onion slices on top of patties then pour sour cream, gravy mixture over patties.
Cover and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 - 40 minutes, turn patties halfway through.
