Banana Toffee Pie
Ingredients:
- bananas, sliced - 3
- sweetened condensed milk - 1 can
- graham crackers, crushed - 1 package
- margarine - 1/2 cup
- Cool Whip, thawed - 8 ounces
- chocolate candy bar - for garnish
Instructions:
Do this the day before. Remove the label on the condensed milk and submerge the UNOPENED can in pot of water. Cover and boil for 2 1/2 hours. Can must be covered at all times with water. Remove from stove, let condensed milk cool.
Prepare crust -- place cracker crumbs in a 9 inch pie pan, toss with margarine. Press crumbs into bottom and sides of pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
Place bananas on top of crust. Open condensed milk, stir; pour entire can evenly over the bananas. Spread Cool Whip over condensed milk. Garnish with grated chocolate or chocolate curls and sprinke over top. Place in refrigerator for 2 hours
