2 c sugar
1/2 c butter, soft
3 eggs
3 T flour
1/4 t salt
1 c buttermilk
single pie crust (made from your favorite recipe or store bought)
1/2 c chopped pecans, toasted (To toast pecans spread in a shallow pan; bake at 350 degree for 5 to 10 minutes.)
In a large bowl, gradually beat sugar into butter until mixture is well blended.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour and salt. Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture.
Beat in buttermilk until mixture is well blended. Pour into pie crust.
Sprinkle pecans over the filling.
Bake at 300 degrees oven for 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes or until filling is set.
Cool; store in the refrigerator.
