Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
- sourdough bread, 1/2 inch thick - 8 slices
- olive oil - 4 tsp
- Cheddar cheese, sliced thin - 1/4 pound
- bacon, cooked - 8 slices
- Monterey Jack cheese, sliced thin - 1/4 pound
- Haas avocados, sliced - 2 ripe
Instructions:
Brush one side of each bread slice with 1/2 t olive oil.
On 4 slices, oiled side down, top with cheddar cheese, avocado slices, bacon slices and Monterey jack cheese. Top with bread slice, oiled side up.
Heat a griddle over medium heat until hot, reduce to medium low, place sandwiches on griddle, cook until golden brown, 3 - 4 minutes. Flip sandwiches and cook for 3 - 4 minutes more until brown. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
Serve immediately. Makes 4 sandwiches.
