French Dip Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- soy sauce - 1/3 cup
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- dried rosemary - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- onion powder - 1 tsp
- dried thyme - tsp
- eye of round roast beef, trimmed - 3 pounds
- bay leaf - 1
- crusty sandwich rolls - 8
- butter - 3 T
Instructions:
In a crock pot, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire, rosemary, garlic, onion and thyme. Add roast and turn to coat. Add bay leaf and 1 cup water. Cover, cook on low for 5 - 7 hours or until tender.
Remove roast and shred. Skim fat from liquid, strain liquid and pour into ramekins.
Butter the insides of the rolls, place rolls on a baking sheet. Broil until light golden brown. Place beef in the rolls. Serve with the sauce.
