Italian Beef
Ingredients:
- beef chuck roast - 2 1/2 - 4 pounds
- beef broth - 1 can
- Italian seasoning - 3 heapinp T
- salt - 1 t
- water - 1/4 cup
- Pepperoncini Peppers, with juice - 1/2 jar (16 ounces)
- buttered, toasted deli rolls -
Instructions:
In a dutch oven, combine all ingredients, stir lightly to combine seasoning with the liquid.
Cover and bake in a preheated 275 degree oven for 5 - 6 hours, or until meat is fork-tender and falling apart. (If meat is not tender, return to oven for 30 minute intervals till it's tender.)
Remove from oven; shred meat. Serve immediately, on buttered, toasted rolls. If desired top with your favorite cheese, and place under broiler to melt cheese. Serve with juices from the pan.
