Almond Granola
Ingredients:
- old fashioned oats - 2 c
- sliced almonds - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 2 T
- ground cinnamon - 1 t
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 t
- salt - 1/4 t
- coconut oil or butter, melted - 4 T
- pure maple syrup - 1/2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 1/2 t
Instructions:
In a bowl, toss together old fashioned oats, almonds, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; set aside.
In a second bowl, whisk together oil, maple syrup and vanilla. Pour mixture over oat almond mixture and toss to coat.
Place wax paper on a baking sheet, spread granola mixture over pan. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until granola is slightly browned. Stir granola every 10 minutes, so it doesn't burn.
Remove from oven and let cool before eating.
