Pizza Sauce
Ingredients:
- onion, diced - 1/2 c
- garlic, minced - 1 T
- tomato puree - 2 - 15 ounce cans
- sugar - 2 T
- Italian seasoning - 2 t
- salt and pepper - to desired taste
Instructions:
In a skillet over medium heat a little olive oil and saute onions until soft, 3 - 4 minutes, add salt, pepper and garlic, cook for another minute.
Stir in puree, add Italian seasoning and sugar, stir until well incorporated. Season to taste. Bring mixture to a simmer; cook 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Place in a airtight container, store in the refrigerator. Yields 3 cups.
