Praline Sauce
Ingredients:
- chopped pecans - 1 1/4 c
- butter, divided - 7 T
- brown sugar - 1 1/2 c
- flour - 3 T
- light corn syrup - 3/4 c
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
Instructions:
Place chopped pecans in a microwave dish with 3 T butter. Cook for 8 – 10 minutes, stirring twice. Do not burn them.
In microwave safe bowl place remaining butter and heat until melted. Whisk in brown sugar, flour and corn syrup until blended. Cook on high 6-8 minutes, stirring twice, until the sugar is dissolved. Add evaporated milk and pecans, stir well.
Pour into jars, seal. Makes approx. 24 ounces. Store sauce in refrigerator, reheat in microwave to serve on ice cream, pound cake, etc.
Once opened will keep for 3 weeks in the refrigerator and unopened a couple of months.
