Salted Caramel Sauce
Ingredients:
- unsalted butter - 5 T
- light brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- sugar - 1/4 cup
- light corn syrup - 3 T
- heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- kosher salt - 1 t
Instructions:
In a saucepan melt together butter, sugars and syrup, simmer for 3 minutes, swirl every now and again. Add cream and 1/2 t kosher salt and swirl again, stir with a wooden spoon and very carefully (MIXTURE WILL VERY HOT) taste, if needed add additional salt, cook for 1 minute, then pour into serving container.
Serve over sliced apples, ice cream, bread pudding, cake, waffles, etc.
