Green Beans
Ingredients:
- fresh green beans - 1 pound
- cloves of garlic - 3 - 4
- olive oil - 2 - 3 T
- chicken broth - 2 - 3 c
- butter - 3 - 4 T
- salt and pepper - to desired taste
Instructions:
In a skillet add oil and butter, over medium high heat, melt butter until it looks foamy. Add garlic, cook for 2-3 minutes, add green beans. Stir keeping them as flat as possible in the pan. Cook beans until they turn bright green. Add salt and pepper, cook for 2 minutes, stir occasionally. Add enough chicken broth to cover beans; stir. Let it come to a rapid boil. Cover, turn heat to medium low, venting the pan so steam can escape. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until most of the broth has cooked out. Serve warm.
