Pea Casserole
Ingredients:
- frozen peas - 10 ounce bag
- medium egg noodles - 5 ounces
- cream cheese - 8 ounces
- shredded sharp cheddar cheese - 2 cups
- margarine - 1 T
- sliced mushrooms, undrained - small jar
- chopped onion - 1/2 cup
- white pepper - 1/2 tsp
- buttery crackers, crushed - 5
Instructions:
Prepare peas per package directions, drain; set aside.
Prepare noodles per package directions; drain. Gently stir in cream cheese, cheddar cheese and margarine until melted. Fold in peas, mushrooms, onion and pepper. Spoon mixture into greased 10 x 6 inch baking pan. Sprinkle crackers around the edge of casserole.
Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 20 minutes until throughly heated.
