Sweet Potato Fries and Sauce
Ingredients:
- sweet potatoes, cut into fries - 2 large
- olive oil - 2 T
- paprika - 1/4 t
- salt - 1/4 t
- onion powder - 1/4 t
- chili powder - 1/4 t
- cumin - 1/4 t
- garlic powder - 1/8 t
- black pepper - 1/8 t
- sugar - 1/2 t
- mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
- ketchup - 2 T
- lime juice - 1/2 t
- onion powder - 1/8 t
- garlic powder - 1/8 t
- celery salt - 1/8 t
- salt - 1/8 t
- pepper - 1/8 t
Instructions:
Place cut sweet potatoes in a bowl, toss with olive oil to throughly coat. In a bowl mix together paprika, 1/4 t salt, 1/4 t onion powder, chili powder, cumin, 1/ 8 t garlic powder, 1/8 t black pepper and sugar, toss and coat potatoes with seasonings. Place potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet (making sure they don't touch each other). Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and turn all fries over, return to oven, continue baking for 10 minutes. Serve hot with dipping sauce. If desired sprinkle hot fries with kosher salt. (If you prefer crisiper fries increase baking time 5 - 10 minutes per side.)
Prepare sauce -- In a bowl combine mayonnaise, ketchup, lime juice, 1/8 t onion powder, 1/8 t garlic powder, celery salt, 1/8 t salt and 1/8 t pepper, mix well.
