Bailey’s Irish Cream Brownies
Ingredients:
- butter - 1 c
- unsweetened chocolate - 4 ounces
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4
- flour - 1 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 t
- cream cheese - 16 ounces
- sugar - 1/3 c
- egg - 1
- Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur - 3 T
Instructions:
In a saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat while stir frequently. Remove mixture from the heat; allow to cool. Line a 13 × 9 inch baking pan with foil and lightly coat the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
In a bowl beat sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. Sift flour and salt together; add to the sugar mixture in three half cup increments. Fold chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture.
Prepare filling -- In a bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar and beat until creamy. Continue beating while adding the egg and liqueur.
Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan. Carefully spread cream cheese layer over the brownie layer. Spread remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer. With a knife swirl the layers together for a marbled effect. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
