Fudgy Toffee Bars
Ingredients:
- butter, melted - 1/2 c
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- toffee bits - 8 ounce bag
- refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough - 1 roll
- chocolate chips - 12 ounces
- sweetened condensed milk - 14 ounce can
- butter - 1 T
- vanilla extract - 1 t
Instructions:
Remove cookie dough from refrigerator, let set for 10 minutes to soften up.
In a bowl, stir together butter, 1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs and 3/4 c toffee bits. Evenly press mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat the milk, chocolate chips and butter over medium heat. Stir frequently until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla. Spread mixture over the graham cracker crumb mixture. In another bowl, break up the cookie dough and stir in 1/2 c cracker crumbs until blended. Crumble the mixture evenly over the chocolate layer; sprinkle 3/4 c toffee bits over top.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 - 35 minutes or until it's golden brown. Cool completely before cutting.
